Good morning! Clearly I´m not done with China yet as I decided to make spring rolls yesterday. I was craving it for the entire Asia trip as I could smell it on every corner, but unfortunately I didn´t take the risk of getting food poisoned
yet another time. So I finally got the time to make some myself, a perfect thursday/weekend snack!
Here´s what you need:
Spring rolls recipe:
- white onion
- red onion
- fresh coriander
- soy sause
- oyster sauce
- minced meat (preferably pork)
- glass noodles
- spring rolls pastry
Get comfy, put on some music, invite a couple friends over to help you out and keep you company because this will take awhile. Chop everything in small pieces and stir it together in a frying pan. Add as much salt, pepper, soy and oyster sauce as you want, we pretty much just improvised on the quantity of everything and it gave us 40 delicious spring rolls.
After everything is blended together you take one or two spoons and roll it up in the spring roll pastry, remember to “glue” the pastry with some egg so it stays in place. After that you either deep fry your spring rolls or you add just a touch of oil and put them in the oven for about 10 minutes.
Voilá! There you have it, a delicious snack which you can eat by it self or as an appetizer. The best part is that you can save the leftovers in your freezer for another occasion.
